Mhanga Sculptural Wooden Bird - Large
AED 100.00
Minimalist Hand-Carved Mukwa Guinea Fowl
Hand-carved from a single block of indigenous Mukwa wood, this sculptural bird captures the distinctive silhouette of a native guinea fowl, known locally as Mhanga in Shona. The design leans into intentional simplicity, pairing a smooth, rounded form with a fine, dotted texture that mimics the bird's iconic plumage.
Standing at 12cm tall, the piece features a deep, dark-toned crown and beak that creates a subtle, elegant contrast against the warm, honeyed grain of the Mukwa wood body. Its clean, mid-century-inspired profile makes it an ideal accent piece for minimalist shelves, console tables, or architectural alcoves.
Made in Zimbabwe.
